DescriptionThis collectible '70s Airfix series I kit is still factory wrapped, unopened. It builds a 1/72 scale model of a Red Arrows Gnat. Note the original British price sticker on the cello wrap.
Before you bid, please read our terms! Our Descriptions; While I'm not above embellishing or enhancing the description of any of this stuff ( hey- I have to make you want to buy it, right?), there are some limits as to what I use for descriptive adjectives. If I use the term rare or scarce ( or the slightly down-graded "hard to find"), it usually means that I haven't seen any or many in 30 years. This may not apply to another part of the Ebay world, as there are regional rarities. It could mean that it's the condition of this item that makes it so...... Decals in older kits may not be useable, but add to the collectible value of older kits. I don't inventory parts of older kits, but will give my opinion on how complete I think they are. No guarantees are offered for their completeness, and they are sold as is. And I refuse to use the term "vintage". Vintage relates to wine, classic cars, and old Barons. If a listing says vintage, it's either because the seller didn't know how old it was, what to call it, or just didn't want to describe it as "old". Some of my stuff is old in a good way-like me. Please read the boring stuff below so you'll know what the deal is...... PaymentHey Baron-How and when do I pay? As quick as you can, and I prefer Paypal.Make sure you have a verified address. Uh, what's a verified address? If you don't know, you probably don't have one. You do this through Paypal. It protects me. Go to Paypal and do it. How else can I pay? Email me if you would like to make other arrangements. Wait! I'm not done bidding! If you are buying or bidding on more than one item, let me know, and wait until I invoice you. My dearest von Plastic-I am on a fixed budget, can you save me any $$$ ?-No-so am I. Baron's only a title, not a reflection of my wealth. ShippingHerr Baron-when will I get my goods?I usually ship in 3-4 days. Sometimes even a Baron needs a couple of days off, though. Bonjour Monsieur Baron- Can you ship it a cheaper way?No. There's a reason why I ship the way the item is listed. I try to be fair, but after 10,000 ++ orders, I have a pretty good idea what I'm doin'. Mr. Baron- I want this shipped to my sister in Botswana, and this is not her address on my Paypal card-what do I do? Go.... no wait, I can't say that... see the verified address thing. I only ship to your address as listed by Paypal. Baron! Where's the package you shipped to ( fill in the international destination in this blank )? Be patient-most postal services and customs offices other than the U.S. Postal Service s**k. Herr Baron- I bought one kit with shipping of $11.00, and added 300 more kits -how come it cost so much more to ship it? Because you exceeded size and weight limits imposed on me by the U.S. Postal Service on International shipments- over 36" combined and 4 lbs. have to be shipped via Priority mail and cost big bucks. Hey Baron, you jerk! Why don't you charge exact postage? Because after paying Ebay, Paypal, the guy I buy my boxes and labels from, the gas station, the printer, and everybody else who grabs a piece of the pie, there isn't much left for Mrs. Baron. Terms of SaleHey your plasticness-how come you won't take this back!?Ah, but I will if I made a mistake. Otherwise, it's yours. My prices are usually the best on the net. I am not running a parts service, or an approval service. Many of my kits are pre-owned, and do not have a warranty. Although I usually don't miss something, they may be missing a part or two, and it's up to you to work with this.Dear *@#%^!!!- The manufacturer really screwed up this model when they made it... even though it was sealed and you had no way of knowing that, I have no one to blame but you. Sorry Chumley; most manufacturers ( i.e. the good ones like Glencoe, Revell, etc. ) happily take care of their problems; many such as AMT ( RC2) will not. You're on your own. I'm an easy target, but I can't be responsible for their screw ups. Hey von Plastic!-how come you didn't leave me feedback, you...you...Easy big fella! I tried leaving feedback first, but for some reason many people can't be bothered no matter how well a Baron does his job. So-you show me yours, I'll show you mine (feedback, that is). About UsWho is this nutbag called Baron von Plastic? Good question -and you nailed it with the nutbag thing....I'm just a guy tryin' to make a living and have some fun while doing it. I've been selling toys and collectibles for about 30 years, and still learn something new everyday. So if I make a mistake on a listing description, it's just that -a mistake. I'll make it good. What do you know about models and collectibles Mr. Bigshot Baron? Good question. (Please tell my wife that I really am a big shot. I can't get her to stop laughing when I tell her...). I am a past member of the IPMS ( sorry guys, no time to build), and the Greater Boston Sports Collectible Society ( Man of the Year once- see- even they make mistakes). I did contribute to a number of the national price guides for various collectibles years ago(sorry guys, no time to contribute). I didn't just become an expert through Ebay ( but it sure helped). What do you have time for, Baron? Buying collectibles and models ( this would be a good time to tell you that I will buy your collection), and selling on Ebay. Occasionally one of my suppliers will take me out to lunch, but only because they have to. So, Baron, what else do you have to say for yourself, not that anyone cares? Seriously-thanks to all the great modelers and collectors that I've had, and will have the pleasure to do business with. |
