This is one of Glencoe's best and most popular kits. Made from the original Hawk molds, it builds a 1/48 scale model of the Jupiter C Missile with launch pad that was used to launch the first U.S. satellite "Explorer" into space. The second picture shows the original box for the first issue. The model is about 20" high when built. ( Note -Google this online-If you can get your hands on one of the older Revell 1/48 Mercury Capsule kits, you could also modify this to replicate the Mercury Launch vehicle). This kit is new and sealed.
